High pressure vs soft wash — which one do you need?
Not all pressure cleaning is the same — and using the wrong method on the wrong surface causes expensive damage. Here's how we decide which approach to use:
High Pressure Cleaning
Best for: concrete driveways, brick pavers, footpaths, retaining walls, commercial car parks and hard unpainted surfaces. High PSI blasts away embedded dirt, oil, gum and heavy staining. Safe on dense, non-porous hard surfaces.
Soft Wash (Low Pressure)
Best for: rendered and painted house walls, roof tiles, timber decks, fences and Colorbond. A biodegradable cleaning solution breaks down mould at the root. Low pressure rinses it away safely without lifting paint or cracking grout.
Chemical Pre-Treatment
For heavy mould, lichen or organic staining — a pre-treatment solution is applied and left to dwell before rinsing. This kills the root rather than just removing what's visible, so the results last significantly longer.
Surface Cleaner Attachment
For large flat concrete areas like driveways and car parks, a rotating surface cleaner gives even coverage with no zebra-stripe marks — faster, more consistent results than a wand on wide open areas.
